Labor Relations Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Labor Relations to join our team at Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. This role will be responsible for serving as the first-chair spokesperson for operating units in contract negotiations and other dealings with unions, primarily the Teamsters.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as first-chair spokesperson for operating units in contract negotiations and other dealings with unions, primarily the Teamsters.
- Coordinates with local management and HR, corporate pension and benefits specialists, and senior leadership in preparing negotiation strategy and proposals to determine feasibility, cost, effects on operations and relationship to prevailing trends in the industry and the geographic area.
- Drafts clear, unambiguous contract language and proposals with the objective of achieving consistency and uniformity with corporate policies and practices.
- Advises local HR managers and management personnel in administering contracts and labor relations policies/practices that are in compliance with federal/state laws, organization policies/practices, and applicable collective bargaining agreements while maximizing operational flexibility to the greatest possible extent.
- Independently manages and directs responses to union organizing activity and coordinates union election campaigns, including training of management personnel to ensure compliance with the NLRA, interfacing with unions and the NLRB, and either independently or in conjunction with counsel, handling objections and ULP charges before the NLRB.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of a broad, well-balanced and effective positive employee relations strategy.
- First chair responsibility for late-step grievances and/or labor arbitrations.
- Responding to NLRB charges either independently or in conjunction with counsel.
- Coordinates with in-house legal counsel, payroll, EHS, and benefits specialists on implementation of policies and procedures in union locations.
- Must be fully prepared to independently research and respond to sophisticated and complex labor relations issues in a time sensitive and client service oriented environment.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of applicable labor and employment laws and regulations at the state and federal level, including the NLRA, FLSA, Title VII, ADA and FMLA.
- Travel is approximately 50%.
- Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.
Total Rewards
- Salary range: $146,700 - $242,000
- Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
- Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
- Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience serving as chief spokesperson representing employers in contract negotiations, with a minimum of twenty (20) contracts negotiated in such time.
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience administering contracts and advising management of their rights and responsibilities to ensure contractual compliance while maintaining the greatest operational flexibility possible.
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience managing campaigns and providing positive employee relations training.
- Law degree preferred but not required.
