Maintenance I - Preventative Maintenance Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance I to join our Preventative Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our production equipment. Your primary focus will be on completing preventative maintenance tasks on assigned machines, identifying and communicating any tooling or machine issues, and collaborating with maintenance and machine operators to ensure seamless PM activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance on all assigned production equipment in a timely manner according to schedule.
  • Determine needed parts and/or equipment necessary to complete repairs or perform preventative maintenance and complete appropriate order requests.
  • Work as part of a team with maintenance and machine operators to ensure effective PM activities are completed.
  • Use computer applications (including FlexNet) to view production schedule and plan appropriately for preventative maintenance activities and upcoming tooling changes.
  • Clean outside of machine and work area after PM and turn over to production personnel in proper condition.
  • Identify and communicate any tooling or machine issues and communicate to appropriate personnel.
  • Actively identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, safety, effectiveness, and timeliness of preventative maintenance activities as well as mold changes and present suggestions to appropriate personnel.
  • May be cross-trained to Mold Change and/or Shift Maintenance.
  • Utilize the PM Levels Program to develop your skills and advance your career within the PM role.
  • Learn and gain expertise on new equipment and processes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with Company standards.
  • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) as documented in the policy.
  • Follow all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook, and as stated in the various safety-related training programs.
  • Understand and communicate all hazards and safety issues to the appropriate personnel. Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • May perform other related assignments at the direction of supervision, such as projects, equipment rebuilds, and position coverage.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance with Electrical Classroom Theory is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Previous experience operating or maintaining blow-molding, one-step, and/or injection-molding machines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment required.
