Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance I to join our Preventative Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our production equipment. Your primary focus will be on performing preventative maintenance tasks, identifying and addressing potential issues, and collaborating with our maintenance and machine operator teams to achieve our production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks on assigned production equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Determine necessary parts and equipment for repairs and preventative maintenance, and complete order requests as needed.
- Document observations and follow-up actions, and communicate with team members and supervisors as required.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and machine operator teams to ensure effective PM activities are completed.
- Use computer applications, including FlexNet, to view production schedules and plan preventative maintenance activities.
- Meet with team members and supervisors to plan daily activities and ensure smooth production operations.
- Clean equipment and work areas after maintenance activities, and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Identify and communicate tooling or machine issues to team members and supervisors.
- Actively identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, safety, and effectiveness of preventative maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance with Electrical Classroom Theory preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience operating or maintaining blow-molding, one-step, and/or injection-molding machines preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills required.
