Job Title: Director of Commercial Asset Management

The Presidio Trust is seeking a highly skilled Director of Commercial Asset Management to join our Business Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our 2.9 million square foot commercial real estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an asset management strategy that aligns with the Presidio's three strategic goals: People, Planet, and Performance.
  • Prepare and manage a rolling five-year financial model and budget to optimize the financial performance of the portfolio.
  • Develop annual business operating plans and budgets, and present monthly performance reports to Trust leadership.
  • Leverage financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify property and portfolio performance, and collaborate with team members to make necessary improvements.
  • Direct the Trust's third-party commercial property management company, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and compliance with property management contracts.
  • Lead and collaborate with the internal leasing team to manage marketing, tenant underwriting, lease negotiations, and occupancy strategies.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and replacement of assets within the portfolio, in accordance with Presidio Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience providing asset management services to large mixed-use portfolios.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and understanding of financial performance metrics.
  • Proven track record of managing leasing strategies, negotiating commercial leases, and maintaining tenant relationships.
  • Experience supervising third-party property management firms.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Power user of Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA with a concentration in real estate, business finance, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Experience managing historic properties or properties in a campus.
  • Experience with historic building rehabilitation projects.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager software.
