Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team in Woodland Hills, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of approximately 650 engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth within the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or related field, with 10+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience.
- 9+ years of technical experience in hardware, systems, software, or firmware engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in managing people and technical leadership roles.
- Program management experience in profit and loss or integrated product teams.
- Developed technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- High proficiency in oral and written communications.
- Proficiency in typical office computer applications and modern tools for electrical, mechanical, and optical development activities.
- Working familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and CMMI.
- US Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance required, with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and Special Access Clearance (SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty.
- Experience as a technical leader and visionary.
- High proficiency in the design of electronic hardware designs for military customers and applications.
- Working knowledge of Northrop Grumman procurement processes.
Salary Range: $190,600 - $286,000
Benefits: Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
