About the Role

Population Media Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer and President to lead our organization in achieving its mission of promoting sustainable development and human rights through media and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive the organization's growth and impact.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Senior Leadership Team and global staff to ensure the effective execution of the organization's mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, donors, partners, and government officials.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives to promote sustainable development and human rights.
  • Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization through effective management of resources and fundraising efforts.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and effective manner, both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in international development or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in building and managing high-performing teams, developing and implementing strategic plans, and securing funding and resources.
  • Strong understanding of the media and entertainment industry, as well as the social and behavioral change sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a focus on innovation and impact.
  • Fluency in English is required, with working knowledge of Spanish and/or French highly desirable.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range of $250,000 - $275,000.
