Job Overview

You will also be recognized as a specialist in the particular business division you are engaged in, handling more intricate and higher-level accounting responsibilities.


Your commitment will be to ensure a high-value service is delivered to key business partners and the group through effective collaboration with your team and business counterparts.

You will be expected to assist in the annual statutory audit process and ensure compliance with all MDM/GPO processes.


It is essential to adhere to all company policies and execute specific duties within established timeframes while providing an exceptional level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Accountant is expected to undertake the following key responsibilities along with any other reasonable duties as required:


1. Prepare, reconcile, and analyze aspects of the monthly Management Accounts for specific product areas, potentially covering multiple divisions.

2. Reconcile revenue with information and explanations from the business and between the accounting system and SAP system.

3. Conduct WIP analysis, product costing, and provisions (e.g., stock).

4. Understand and apply the key drivers that influence the monthly Management Accounting reports in your working practices.

5. Assist in producing financial analysis.

6. Handle royalty, profit share, and commission calculations.

7. Calculate bad debt provisions, accruals, and prepayments.

8. Analyze and resolve ad hoc issues using your business knowledge and system expertise.

9. Support with ad hoc duties as necessary, including covering workloads in other teams.

10. Calculate bonus/commission provisions.

11. Process intercompany transactions.

12. Review sub-ledgers from internal departments.

13. Collaborate with Finance Operations and Cash Operations for reconciliation inquiries.

14. Capitalize assets and manage depreciation.

15. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

16. Publish financial results in SAP FC.

17. Engage in budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and analysis of direct cost base and divisional recharges (Global Support team only).

18. Undertake Tax & Compliance duties as required by your SSC.
