Job Summary

Mom's Meals is seeking a skilled Nutrition Educator to provide telephonic nutrition education to members/patients with chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and experience in providing education and counseling services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide telephonic nutrition education sessions to members/patients with chronic conditions
  • Document goals and care plans from education sessions in a secure platform
  • Schedule follow-up calls with each member/patient to monitor progress
  • Develop nutrition education handouts and tools as needed
  • Identify community resources for clients as needed
  • Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staying current with industry developments
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • 2+ years' experience providing nutrition education or counseling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active licensure in District of Columbia or Ohio
  • Previous experience providing telephonic nutritional education or counseling
  • Training in health coaching, motivational interviewing, and intuitive/mindful eating framework
