Role Summary:

The Educational Transformation Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our schools that are undergoing rapid transformation. This position involves close collaboration with school leaders, instructional teams, and educators to enhance teaching quality and student learning outcomes. The Specialist will spend the majority of their time on-site, focusing on instructional excellence, while also engaging in professional development alongside peers from other schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted coaching and support to educators, ensuring the effective implementation of instructional strategies and curriculum.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning sessions to develop lesson plans that align with best practices and curricular standards.
  • Conduct in-class observations and offer constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Support the administration in executing a balanced assessment system to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of coaching activities, teacher progress, and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to analyze student data and identify targeted interventions for diverse learners.
  • Engage with families and community members to promote a culture of rigorous teaching and learning.
Qualifications - Required:
  1. Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in the relevant subject area.
  2. A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience with a strong understanding of curriculum and instructional practices.
  3. Proven ability to lead and support instructional change within school settings.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to cultural proficiency and addressing issues of race and equity in education.
Qualifications - Preferred:
  1. SEI endorsement or dual certification in ESL and special education.
  2. Experience in inclusive educational settings.
  3. Master's degree in a relevant field.
  4. Proficiency in additional languages is highly valued.
