Job Title: Complex Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Complex Claims Specialist to join our team at CNA. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for managing commercial claims with moderate to high complexity and exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve claims according to company protocols, quality and customer service standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally and effectively with insureds, claimants and business partners.
  • Verify coverage and establish timely and adequate reserves by reviewing and interpreting policy language.
  • Conduct focused investigation to determine compensability, liability and covered damages.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external work partners, suppliers and experts.
  • Authorize and ensure claim disbursements within authority limit.
  • Contribute to expense management by timely and accurately resolving claims.
  • Identify and address subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud occurrences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically a minimum four years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable.
