Job Description

The Lismore Hotel, a premier establishment in downtown Eau Claire, is on the lookout for a passionate individual to join our team as a Bartender at Informalist/Dive. Our hotel boasts modern amenities, including event spaces, a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a rooftop craft cocktail bar, all situated near major attractions.

Compensation:
$12 per hour plus a share of the tip pool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a valid bartending license.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere with a professional demeanor.
  • Warmly greet guests and provide menus promptly.
  • Answer menu inquiries thoroughly and provide informed recommendations.
  • Verify guest identification when necessary.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and responsibly manage service.
  • Remain accessible and visible to guests throughout their visit.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow bar staff to enhance service flow.
  • Assist in training new team members to ensure consistent service standards.
  • Follow recipes and build sheets precisely.
  • Address guest concerns effectively and seek managerial assistance when needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the bar/restaurant POS system.
  • Be familiar with all menu items, including pricing and specifications.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as required.
  • Comply with all environmental policies.
  • Accurately close out daily sales and deposit funds appropriately.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Promote menu items effectively.
  • Be TIPS trained and certified.
  • Efficiently expedite orders and communicate with team members.
  • Change kegs as necessary.
  • Quickly suggest alternative items when needed.
  • Complete cleaning tasks as required.
  • Stay informed about local events and hotel offerings.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety management programs.
  • Work flexible hours as needed.
  • Assist in other departments when required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the service industry is required.
