Job Summary:

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Thoracic Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing minimally invasive video assisted thoracoscopic (VAT) surgeries, esophagectomy, hernia repair, and lung transplantation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, patient care technicians, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
  • Participate in unit-based councils to drive nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
  • Contribute to a healthy work environment and culture of safety.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • RN - Registered Nurse with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification (required within 30 days of hire).
