Research Scientist IV

Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate IV to join our team in the Heart Institute.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all lab activities, including financial management, human resource management, and general administration. They will also be responsible for compliance with safety standards and procedures for working with hazardous materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution: Participate in project planning, troubleshooting, and execution of clinical/research projects.
- Clinical/Research Support: Provide miscellaneous clinical/research support, including ad hoc data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Trial Coordination: Coordinate clinical/research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor and/or funding source.
- Data Analysis and Publication: Analyze data and participate in the preparation of scientific findings for publication as author or co-author and present independent presentations.
- Grant Proposal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, publications, and presentations.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Lab Procedure Development: Research, develop, and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Lab Management: Share in lab manager responsibilities and supervise and train new lab members, Research Lab Assistants, Research Associates, and Research Fellows.
- System Administration: May provide system administration and maintenance for the local workstation network.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a science-related field is required.
- Experience: 5 years of research laboratory experience is required, with 4 years of research specialty experience preferred.
