We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet vehicles. Your expertise in diesel mechanics will enable you to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, guaranteeing that our trucks are always on the road.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving. Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of diesel engine systems, as well as experience with preventive maintenance and repair.

The successful candidate will also possess strong analytical skills, enabling them to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. In addition, they will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, managing their time effectively to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex heavy equipment issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and filter replacements
  • Diagnose and fix problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical systems
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and mechanics
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
