Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of diesel road equipment, ensuring compliance with trucking regulations.
This role involves performing preventative maintenance, completing documentation of repairs, and handling road service calls as needed. You will contribute to a safe work environment while maintaining inventory and tools, with opportunities for professional growth and a competitive benefits package.
We offer a salary of $32 per hour plus a $10,000 retention bonus, making this an attractive opportunity for experienced diesel technicians. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance, starting on day one.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with TK or Refrigeration certification. If you possess excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a willingness to adapt to changing organizational needs, we encourage you to apply.

Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing all required repairs on diesel equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance within company standards
- Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM list, and parts accountability
- Handling road service calls; performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations
