CNY Fertility is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Embryo Transfer operations at our Syracuse facility. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and is adaptable to the fast-paced nature of our work. This role primarily involves weekday shifts, with occasional weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Position Overview: The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients undergoing Embryo Transfer, executing a variety of responsibilities to ensure a smooth and effective process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for examination, while accurately recording vital signs and patient histories.
  • Administer prescribed injections and perform phlebotomy procedures.
  • Collect and label specimens according to laboratory protocols.
  • Ensure timely transportation of specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Initiate, maintain, and discontinue IV lines under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate healthcare records.
  • Communicate any concerns to the supervising RN or physician promptly.
  • Review and document laboratory results under the guidance of a healthcare provider.
  • Process prescriptions as directed by the physician.
  • Keep examination rooms clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Assist physicians during embryo transfer procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing training, professional development, and educational opportunities relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or GED, along with one year of technical training.
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN nursing program.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Skilled in administering injections and performing venipunctures.
  • Effective time management abilities.

Certifications:

  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse License.
