Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Cny Fertility Ctr, you will play a vital role in providing patient-specific care and support in the area of fertility. Your duties will include patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and protocol in an operating room setting under the direction of the physician.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
- Place patients in rooms, assist with recording and taking vital signs.
- Record patient history, medications, and significant changes.
- Perform all prescribed injections.
- Perform phlebotomy successfully.
- Collect and label specimen as outlined in lab orders/requisitions.
- Transport specimens to the lab promptly for testing.
- Start, maintain, and discontinue IV lines under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain factual and thorough health care records.
- Report any concerns to direct RN supervisor or Physician.
- Communicate, review, and record all laboratory results under the direct supervision of a provider or a registered nurse.
- Send prescriptions to pharmacies as prescribed by physician.
- Clean, stock, and maintain all exam rooms.
- Assist physicians with embryo transfers.
- Participate in training, conferences, staff development, and continuing education programs pertaining to area of expertise.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN School of Nursing.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
- Medical Terminology
- Demonstrate proficiency in injections

- Demonstrate proficiency in administering oral medications
- Time management skills
