Job Title: Corporate Apparel Account Manager

This is a hybrid role with an in-office requirement of 50% in-office in Taylor, MI.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Apparel Account Manager is responsible for generating new Direct Sales within a defined territory of existing UniFirst customers. The role involves managing the entire sales process, including identifying target accounts, setting appointments with key decision makers, understanding customer needs, and presenting a compelling solution to improve their business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the branch sales and service team to penetrate the existing customer base.
  • Field rides with the CDR, First Aid, the service and outside sales team, participate in team selling.
  • Work with the service management team to add value to the rental customer base and build websites to move competitor DS revenue to UniFirst.
  • Identify key decision makers and navigate complex buying environments to ensure success.
  • Develop custom solutions for target accounts and quantify process improvements and savings over their current situation.
  • Effectively present to a diverse audience, including large committees and key decision makers.
  • Negotiate account requirements, pricing, and other terms and conditions conducive to creating a long-term partnership.
  • Align internal groups and departments to meet and exceed prospects' expectations.
  • Utilize CRM to effectively qualify and prioritize opportunities based on contract expiration dates, market conditions, and competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Effectively use networking tools to reach high-level decision makers and generate interest early in the sales process.
  • Work with the Market Research and Development group to efficiently manage the database and increase the number of prospects and quality of information.
  • Monitor competitive market conditions, sales and pricing strategies, and buying trends to devise effective strategies.
  • Maintain an accurate funnel, forecast, and monthly activity report and report to internal leadership.
  • Meet or exceed minimum sales activity requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Previous B2B sales experience preferred; UniFirst has an award-winning training program for professionals with or without experience.
  • Experience selling program accounts preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously at high productivity levels.
  • Ability to work in a team selling atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated track record of success, including recognition through awards and promotions.
  • Proficient with Mobile Technology, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and MS Teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Limited travel within the local territory/driving distance. Some air travel may be required for training or professional development.
