Job Summary

Russell County Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Language Arts Educator to join our team of dedicated educators. As a Language Arts Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy and critical thinking skills in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and administer Language Arts curriculum that aligns with school district goals and objectives.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters individualized and small group instruction.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Instructional Delivery: Teach English grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and literature to students in a way that promotes critical thinking and analysis.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning and progress, and modify instructional methods to meet individual needs.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Certification/License: State certification as a Language Arts Teacher or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience in Language Arts preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a standard office and school building environment. The successful candidate will be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and students.
