Audiology Specialist

Job Summary:
As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders. Your expertise will help differentiate between various types of hearing disorders, and you will work closely with physicians to develop effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to identify hearing disorders and develop personalized treatment plans.
  2. Perform physical and otoscopic examinations of the outer ear structures.
  3. Administer and interpret various audiological tests, including hearing aid fittings and cochlear implant assessments.
  4. Provide counseling and education to individuals with hearing disorders and their families.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in audiology to provide the best possible care.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
  2. Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  3. National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  4. Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. One (1) year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
