The Senior Claims Operations Manager will join the Property team within the Atlanta Claims division. This position requires offering specialized technical knowledge in managing claims associated with E&S commercial property. The organization is open to evaluating candidates for higher executive-level roles based on their expertise and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees a specific segment of intricate and serious claims submitted to the claims unit.
  • Works alongside the Unit Leader to devise strategies for investigations, negotiate settlements, or determine denial decisions in accordance with company protocols.
  • Delivers comprehensive reports on files to the Unit Leader and/or Senior Management, recommending reserves, action plans, and current evaluations as necessary.
  • Engages effectively with various professionals, including underwriters, attorneys, corporate clients, brokers, and other industry representatives, demonstrating integrity and trust.
  • Specializes in policy interpretation, coverage issues, legal matters, investigation guidance, file management, negotiation, and settlement strategies within their area of expertise.
  • Participates in business-related activities such as meetings, mediations, trials, and company events.
  • Manages a caseload involving complex coverage matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent background in property claims.
  • A minimum of 10 years in property claims, including over 5 years in E&S commercial property claims.
  • An adjuster's license is a required qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, email, interpersonal).
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, claims adjustment, documentation, litigation management, negotiation, and settlement strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
