Salary

$65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer with a passion for planning and design in the Higher Education market and Arts and Culture practice. This individual will work closely with integrated design teams on international and domestic projects, expanding the versatility of our Los Angeles office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in design exercises for Master Planning, Site Planning, and Building Design using 3D Modeling and Digital Presentation Packaging.
  • Perform design computations as necessary to evolve our design capabilities.
  • Assist in preparing physical models and graphic presentations for client approval.
  • Work alongside the design team on projects from Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.
  • Prepare renderings or coordinate with external renderers, create data tables, develop project layouts, and progress designs in 3D using Revit or other 3D modeling software for client review/approval.
  • Prepare client presentations of design concepts and development of drawings.
  • Prepare construction drawings and construction detailing.
  • Assist in Construction Administration activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Higher Education and experience in cultural projects desired.
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop design skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Affinity Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Lumion, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other related design and presentation software.
