Job Opportunity

Corban University seeks a qualified candidate to fill a half-time position as Assistant Professor or Instructional Faculty for Criminal Justice & Forensic Psychology. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate criminal justice courses, including Criminology, Corrections, Juvenile Delinquency, Criminal Investigation, and Ethics, Communications and Reporting.

  • Develop and teach courses that align with the program's outcomes and the university's Statement of Faith.
  • Identify and meet the learning needs of students, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Perform biblical integration in line with Corban's Statement of Faith, ensuring that the subject matter is taught in a manner consistent with the university's values.
  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and competence.
  • Collaborate with the program director to ensure instructional alignment with program outcomes and to provide guidance on academic advising and internship coaching.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, or other Master's Degree combined with significant criminal justice work experience.

Significant experience in law enforcement firearms training and/or certification as a firearms instructor is required, and college teaching experience is preferred. The candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and a demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations.

The successful candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University's statement of faith, and be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of criminal justice and forensic psychology.
