Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Landfill Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Landfill Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions to complex problems and materials management needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead safety culture within project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and visiting project sites.
  • Develop project strategies, scopes of work, and budgets, and manage large projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
  • Perform and oversee complex technical research, calculations, modeling, design, and report writing for project completion.
  • Develop and maintain client and regulatory relationships as primary or secondary client contact.
  • Oversee, mentor, and provide work assignments to project team members.
  • Track project progress relative to schedules and budgets using company project management software.
  • Maintain overall project quality consistent with company and professional standards.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, considering information to provide and internal or client review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience with civil and waste management projects, including advanced degree and/or cooperative education.
  • Registered PE in Ohio or other Verdantas locations.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, site development, permitting, design, and construction quality assurance/quality control.
  • Significant experience in landfill and waste management engineering, with familiarity with RCRA, Subtitle C, and Subtitle D regulations.
