About the Role

The Account Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless customer experiences from inquiry to paid invoice. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve errors in shipping and pricing, as well as researching and resolving customer complaints and order issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer orders, ensuring accurate information for perfect order delivery
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external customers to resolve issues and provide world-class customer service
  • Manage credits, debits, and deductions, with some authorization to resolve customer issues
  • Complete courtesy calls to external customers to ensure satisfaction and proactively fill partial truck orders
  • Manage and maintain spreadsheets and reports to track customer interactions and order status
  • Assist in training new employees and cross-training across all Insulation Systems channels
  • Handle basic product information calls from downstream customers
Requirements
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years customer service experience OR 4-year college degree preferred
  • Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Basic analytical decision-making and ability to think through complex issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic knowledge of SAP or ERP systems
  • Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable concepts for deduction resolution
  • Solid attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Solid ability to multitask and work in a team environment as well as independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to develop product knowledge and basic problem resolution and negotiation skills
  • Solid listening skills and relationship building skills with internal and external customers
  • Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year)
  • May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to and including 25 pounds
  • Work environment is typical of an office environment
