Division of Specialized InstructionThe Division of Specialized Instruction (DSI) is a key part of the Office of Teaching and Learning, working to provide a high-quality continuum of services for students with disabilities. Our team is committed to ensuring that every student with disabilities is prepared for success in college, career, and life.
We offer a range of programs and services, including Related Services, Transition, Academic Programs, Inclusion, Planning & Effectiveness, Resolution, Non-Public, and Monitoring & School Support. Our goal is to provide students with the support they need to succeed.
About the Dedicated Aide RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Dedicated Aide. This role will provide 1:1 support to students with disabilities, working closely with the Academic Programs Team in the Office of Teaching and Learning.
The Dedicated Aide will be responsible for assisting students with daily living skills, orientation and mobility, and providing passive physical management. They will also collect data on student academic and behavioral concerns, ensure student safety, and support students in using assistive technology.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or 48 college credit hours, a passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis, and a successful background and drug clearance. Previous experience in the education sector is a plus.
