Assistant General Manager

Officina at The Wharf is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in maintaining the high standards of service and operations at our Italian-inspired culinary collective.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining quality control, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service standards, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and special events.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to maintain optimal levels and ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain safety and hygiene standards, and investigate and resolve customer complaints.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams to drive business growth and success.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or management position in the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of improving service standards, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with inventory management, supply chain optimization, and equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of Italian culture, cuisine, and beverages.
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
