We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research team at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrochemistry, materials science, or a related field, and will be responsible for conducting research in energy storage and harvesting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct electrochemical and photophysical measurements to investigate new materials for novel rechargeable redox flow batteries, Li-ion batteries, or photovoltaics.
- Develop and implement new experimental techniques and methods to advance the research project.
- Collaborate with other team members to broaden skills and expertise.
- Mentor junior researchers and participate in external proposal writing.
- Ph.D. degree in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong research background and excellent written communication skills.
- Desire to mentor junior researchers and professionally interact with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in Electrochemistry, solid state and flow batteries or Electrolysers, materials chemistry, materials characterization, spectroscopy, synthetic chemistry or mechanistic studies.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a collaborative research effort and the desire to participate in external proposal writing.
- Interests and track record in organizational, problem solving, facilitation and follow-through skills.
