Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the area of alcohol-related organ injury, with a focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of alcohol-induced pathogenesis at the gut-liver axis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate the effects of alcohol on the gut-liver axis
  • Analyze and interpret data using various statistical software
  • Develop and implement novel intervention strategies for disease prevention and treatment
  • Collaborate with research team members to achieve project goals
  • Present research findings at scientific meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences or a related field
  • Experience in cellular and molecular biology, including handling mouse models
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using graphics software to present data
  • Record of research productivity in peer-reviewed journals and/or scientific meetings
