Role Description

As a Landscape Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in aligning landscape initiatives with the City's capital improvement projects. Your role will involve close collaboration with project management teams, external consultants, and various municipal departments to ensure the seamless incorporation of landscape design into infrastructure endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the City's interests in project-related matters
  • Engage with stakeholders to set project priorities
  • Evaluate project plans for landscape implications and offer recommendations
  • Perform tree evaluations and provide preservation advice
  • Create sustainable landscape designs utilizing industry best practices
  • Facilitate design processes with project teams and external partners
  • Oversee project documentation, budgets, and timelines
  • Enhance awareness and appreciation for the city's Tree Canopy
  • Deliver public presentations regarding landscape initiatives
  • Address tree and landscape concerns during construction phases
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related discipline
  • ISA Certified Arborist Certification
  • Experience in landscape construction and maintenance
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant industry software
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tree Risk Assessment Qualification within 2 years of employment
  • Experience in project management
  • NC Landscape Contractor License
  • NC Pesticide Applicators License
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience

Salary

  • $58,813 - $73,516 (Based on experience)
