Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at ATC White Plains. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, diagnostic, and medical sonograms. You will prepare patients for procedures, assist radiologists when needed, and maintain the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all imaging procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to established radiology standards of care.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Assist radiologists during procedures as needed, providing support and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories, adhering to hospital-wide infection control policies.
  • Process CDs or print pictures as needed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Perform routine office duties, including answering phones, checking previous reports/images, and documenting patient information.
  • Notify transport when patients are ready to be picked up or returned to floors, ensuring seamless patient flow.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise information regarding examination results and procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Completion of a certified ultrasound program or Limited Permit/certificate.
  • ARDMS certification required for ACR accreditation compliance after January 1, 2019, or ARRT(s) or RT (VS) experience preferred.
  • Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Work Environment

The Ultrasound Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to patients, families, and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a calm and composed demeanor, even in high-pressure situations, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.

The salary range for this position is $48-$58 per hour. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
