Job Title: Financial Manager - Global Prime Finance

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our Global Prime Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with Business and Finance stakeholders to support decision making.
  • Drive thought leadership in the area of quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors.
  • Create and improve financial metrics, reports, and scorecards.
  • Develop and leverage relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure.
  • Be comfortable with large volumes of complex data and present findings to senior management.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
    • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
    • MBA, or CPA.
    • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
    • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
    • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
