Prysmian Group: IT Support Specialist

Prysmian Group is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. Our company manufactures thousands of miles of underground and submarine cables and systems for power transmission and distribution, as well as medium low voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure sectors.

We also produce a comprehensive range of optical fibers, copper cables, and connectivity for voice, video, and data transmission for the telecommunication sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Help Desk support for iSeries Applications and Tape Backups
  • Work with Ticketing System (Service-Now) to resolve user issues
  • Communicate with users via phone, email, or Microsoft Teams
  • Perform iSeries IPL Maintenance once a month
  • Organize and manage onsite and offsite tape logs
  • Manage offsite tape storage with Iron Mountain
  • Monitor and update IBM Tape Libraries and Tape Inventory
  • Data Center Alarm Monitoring
Preferred Skills:
  • IBM iSeries administration or operation experience
  • Working with IBM Green Screen
  • Tape Library Backup Systems
  • Help Desk Level 1
  • Ticketing System experience
  • Ability to manage and escalate trouble tickets
  • Detailed inventory and organizational skills
