Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to support our mortgage process. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing requests for modifications, releases, and PMI cancellations on existing mortgages, as well as providing support to Consumer/HELOC Underwriting during high-volume periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve partial releases, subordinations, modifications, release of liability, and PMI cancellations
  • Complete reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including Appraisal Suspense Residential and Appraisal Suspense Construction
  • Identify, review, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations affecting assigned functional areas
  • Process Construction Loan Disbursements
  • Provide backup support to Consumer/HELOC Underwriter
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Answer questions and respond to requests with proper etiquette through email and telephone within established timelines
  • Perform various tasks related to construction loans, such as disbursements, monitoring status, inspections, extension of build period, and conversion of the loan
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent
  • Two years of banking experience and underwriting or lending background preferred
  • Ability to receive and understand oral questions and written instructions and apply them to assigned job responsibilities
  • Ability to analyze, interpret findings, and results, and draw logical conclusions in carrying out day-to-day assignments
  • Flexibility to learn and keep current with changing procedures and regulations, vary job assignments, technological advances, and new equipment
  • Ability to work as a positive team member in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage multiple assignments
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based software programs required
  • Demonstrated professional customer relations and communications skills
