The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in contract negotiation, vendor management, and procurement strategy. This position is crucial in ensuring cost efficiency, quality assurance, and reliability in the acquisition of goods and services vital to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Management:
  • Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers for necessary materials and services.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective vendors.
  • Regularly evaluate vendor performance to guarantee quality, reliability, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  1. Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to obtain advantageous terms, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with legal and other pertinent departments to resolve contractual and legal matters.
  1. Cost Management:
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to refine procurement strategies.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.
  1. Process Enhancement:
  • Continuously assess and enhance procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and contribute to the formulation of procurement policies.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and project management teams, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) with 7-9 years of proven experience as a Procurement Specialist focusing on negotiation and contracting.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with capital expenditures and industrial facility construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • CPM or CPSM Certification is desired.
  • Integrated use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and strong working knowledge of MS Office.
