Key Responsibilities- Provide psychotherapy or counseling services to individuals, groups, couples, or families, as applicable.
- Assist clients in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
- Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, screeners, records, and reference materials.
- Utilize evidence-based intervention methods within scope of practice to meet the needs of the population.
- Engage clients in collaborative discussion of treatment goals and desired outcomes.
- Participate as an active team member in the clinical care team, including consultation, case management, care coordination, and coordination of referrals.
- Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or equivalent field of study.
- Licensed mental health clinicians, including LCSW, LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LMFT, LPCMH, LPCC, and LCPC.
- CAMS – care certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Prior counseling experience in the field of treatment of behavioral mental health, including depression, mood disorders, alcoholism, and drug dependency.
- Experience in crisis management, abuse reporting, and cultural competence to meet the diverse needs of the population served in a treatment setting.
- Experience identifying, preventing, and treating suicidal behaviors.
- Experience with patient referral management and knowledge of available referral resources.
- Previous clinical experiences in integrated behavioral health settings.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of individuals in an outpatient counseling setting.
- Ability to interact and consult with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including primary care providers, community providers, and services as needed.
- Diagnostic assessment and referral skills to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish a good rapport with all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of EHR use and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Cultural competency and flexibility in response to urgent psychosocial situations.
