Job Title: Vascular Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high-quality images to physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follows clearly defined diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high-quality images.
  • Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
  • ARDMS (RVT) certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Two (2) of the following certifications: AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN, PS, or RVT.
  • Five (5) years of clinical and practical experience for Sonographer Level III.
Preferred Experience:
  • Two (2) years of basic clinical and practical experience for Sonographer Level I or II.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Proficient in performing sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures.
