POSITION SUMMARY

This entry-level managerial role supports the daily operations within Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry services, if applicable. The position collaborates with team members to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms and public areas. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and ensuring accountability for corrective measures. The role also focuses on maintaining guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operational budget.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
OR
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; no prior work experience necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting Housekeeping Operations and Financial Management
  • Assists with all lost and found protocols.
  • Receives lists of rooms requiring immediate cleaning and identifies potential check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
  • Conducts inventory checks to ensure sufficient supplies are available.
  • Communicates guest room status to the Front Desk promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborates effectively with the Engineering department regarding maintenance needs in guest rooms.
  • Understands and adheres to loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all staff members are equipped with the necessary supplies, tools, and uniforms.
  • Assists in overseeing a thorough inspection program for all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Helps manage linen inventory and guest supplies, and assists in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Provides supervision in Housekeeping and related areas during the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
  • Monitors service behaviors of team members and offers constructive feedback; consistently seeks to enhance service performance.
Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
  • Addresses guest issues and complaints, seeking supervisor assistance when necessary.
  • Participates in reviewing comment cards and guest satisfaction feedback with team members.
  • Sets a positive standard for guest relations.
The hourly pay range for this position is $24.04 to $26.92.
