Research and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Tech to join our team at Openwork. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for assisting our Technical Manager in the development of new formulations and their analytical testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Technical Manager to design and implement new product development projects
- Operate laboratory equipment, including laboratory extruders, to support production activities
- Analyze data from compounding and testing projects to inform product development decisions
- Test products and run formulation in batches according to standard operating procedures
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including inventory management for raw materials and critical components
- Conduct small-scale experiments to understand the properties of various components
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow defined procedures and document measurements accurately
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability for laboratory equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
