Job Summary:
Warehouse Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Educator to join our team. As a Lead Educator, you will be responsible for directing learning activities of children according to the general guidelines of developmentally appropriate practice, as well as general supervision and management of the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the company's curriculum and meet the needs of children.
- Supervise and manage the classroom environment to ensure the safety and security of children at all times.
- Assist children with feeding, toileting, and personal care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and families to keep them informed of their child's progress and address any concerns they may have.
- Participate in staff development activities and planning meetings to ensure the highest quality of care and education for children.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of bending, crouching, or kneeling to children's level.
- Must be able to reach at and above shoulder height.
- Must be capable of frequent changes of positions throughout the work shift.
- Must have a minimum of a CDA certificate or be working towards one.
- Must have appropriate patience and demeanor to work with multiple children in one setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practice and the ability to implement it in the classroom.
- Experience working with young children and their families.
- Ability to create and post weekly lesson plans.
- Knowledge of child development and the ability to apply it in the classroom.
Compensation:
$14-$17/hour, based on experience.
