Job ResponsibilitiesAs an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will oversee services and activities within the Imaging department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Exhibiting expertise in the operation of MRI equipment.
- Adhering to established imaging protocols to achieve optimal results.
- Coordinating procedures with various departments.
- Ensuring exceptional patient care during examinations.
- Documenting and verifying patient clinical histories for procedural accuracy.
- Performing venipuncture competently when required.
- Applying knowledge of growth and development principles to meet patient and family needs.
- Upholding service excellence standards in all interactions.
- Completing additional departmental tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Required: Completion of an accredited educational program in radiology or MRI.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology with one to two years of MRI experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Required: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, with post-primary certification in MRI within six months of hire, or certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists. BLS certification is also required.
- Preferred: Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist from the Texas Department of Health.
This position requires full COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, unless an exemption is approved.
