Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our LabCorp Dose Formulation department in Madison, WI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of laboratory technicians, ensuring the preparation of test material formulations, collection and documentation of study data, and coordination with other groups and departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of laboratory technicians to ensure efficient and effective study conduct.
  • Develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures to improve work quality, efficiency, productivity, and expense control.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, address performance management issues, and assist with setting employee objectives.
  • Assign workload to direct employees, plan, schedule, and organize necessary resources for study conduct and assignments.
  • Provide training and learning management, ensuring staff are trained adequately and proficient in all phases of applicable laboratory operations.
  • Promote continual improvement of policies and processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor workload to track appropriate staffing levels, and assist with employee retention.
  • Ensure animals are cared for in accordance with regulatory guidelines and with the highest scientific, humane, and ethical principles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field).
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and supportive of teamwork and collaboration.
