The Tax Specialist utilizes fiduciary accounting principles to meticulously review and interpret financial data, as well as to prepare income, estate, and gift tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit Federal and state estate and gift tax filings
  • Prepare and submit Federal and state fiduciary income tax filings
  • Compile estate and trust inventories and financial accountings
  • Generate informational returns for tax-exempt organizations
  • Engage in estate and gift tax planning, including actuarial and interest calculations (e.g., QPRTs, GRATs, CRATs, and CLUTs)
  • Maintain and refresh estate and trust accounts and records (tax-related information)
  • Address inquiries from IRS and state tax authorities during audits
  • Support all tax-related elements of estate and trust management, including the formulation of effective distribution strategies

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a trust and estate practice within a law firm, CPA firm, or banking institution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks while effectively working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred

The salary range for this position is $75,300 - $130,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level.
