Job Title: Finance Director - Search, Ads and Copilot

Microsoft Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our Search, Ads and Copilot business. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our advertising business.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Director to help drive investment decisions across AI workloads, platform transformation, and search quality. You will provide financial insights and guidance to engineering and finance leaders on key metrics such as gross margin, vertical profit and loss (P&Ls), and cost to serve.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a talented team of individual contributors through application of our management philosophy of Model, Coach and Care.
  • Be a trusted advisor for engineering leaders on financial objectives, strategic investments, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Reduce platform unit costs and maximize return on invested capital by delivering leverage across hardware and infrastructure utilization.
  • Own analytical frameworks, unit economic models, reporting insights and external benchmarks to define north star unit costs for the platform.
  • Co-own and influence multi-year plan, focus, accountability, and incentives to accelerate gross margin.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field, and 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field, and 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field, is also acceptable. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Preferred qualifications include established leadership skills with analytical modeling and strategic thinking, proven data and financial modeling capabilities, and ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way.

What We Offer
