The Delaware County, PA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting health and wellness among County employees and the community at large.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to County employees, including first aid, basic life support measures, and medical attention as needed.
- Respond to emergency situations within the County complex, evaluating and treating employees, visitors, jurors, witnesses, and prisoners as necessary.
- Investigate reports of health hazards and document findings, reporting to appropriate personnel as required.
- Maintain a daily log of visitors to the Health Services Office and document employee Worker's Compensation injuries.
- Assist with annual employee influenza vaccination programs and coordinate various health initiatives, including blood drives.
- Serve on the Wellness Committee and perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Experience in the Community or Public Health field.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive matters.
