As the Sales Operations Manager, you will play a vital role within the Store Management team by implementing strategic initiatives to drive a successful business. Your success will be measured by your ability to introduce innovative selling techniques and achieve daily and weekly business targets by effectively assigning and overseeing tasks, objectives, and priorities for the sales associate team.Key Responsibilities
- Assist Store Management in evaluating business trends and executing strategic initiatives for your store.
- Communicate sales and profitability performance metrics and resources to the store team.
- Deliver a consistent customer experience that aligns with Ralph Lauren brand standards by addressing customer complaints and resolving service issues.
- Support the store's client development strategy through community engagement in your market.
- Participate in the recruitment and interview process as necessary, aiding Store Management in building a customer-centric team that embodies the store's vision.
- Engage in talent development discussions by providing constructive feedback and coaching to the store team.
- Assist in team training initiatives.
- Provide ongoing insights to Store Management regarding team achievements and areas for improvement, as well as product category needs.
- Maintain high productivity standards by adhering to processes and operational management, including inventory control.
- Promote the use of new technologies to support innovative selling methods and enhance shopping experiences to achieve business objectives.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the sales floor and all store standards consistently exceed expectations.
- Foster an inclusive environment that reflects the core values and cultural focus areas of Ralph Lauren.
Qualifications and Skills
- A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience in Retail Management or a similar industry in a complex, high-volume environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel.
- Ability to navigate the sales floor, stock areas, cash wrap, and office; capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. and climbing as needed.
- Proficient in operating the register and capable of standing and moving for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, management, and colleagues.
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
