About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team at SiriusXM. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate customer invoices and billing requests for advertising campaigns.
  • Upload and understand 3rd party ad server impression reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and Client Services in reviewing and resolving any delivery discrepancies.
  • Ensure personal case queue is reviewed and resolved within established SLA.
  • Work with internal business partners to resolve escalations.
  • Conduct pre-posting reviews to ensure invoice accuracy.
  • Issue credit/rebills to correct client invoices.
  • Issue invoices upon receipt of approved billing requests.
  • Audit orders in our order management system to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Work with the Credit & Collections team to assist with research of delinquent accounts.
  • Assist other finance team members in a variety of other finance functions.
  • Track and resolve credit and billing issues.
  • Send daily and monthly invoices via email and EDI.
  • Maintain pertinent reporting databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy in workflows and reporting.
  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve inaccuracies throughout.
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports.
  • Create business reports that provide insight into key data points upon request.
  • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to internal clients.
  • Acts as a reporting SME to vet new reporting processes, potential automation projects, conduct testing and provide feedback.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly SOX reporting.
  • Assist with Notary to prepare Notarized invoices.
  • Assist in scheduling monthly reports to team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting preferred and/or years of experience.
  • 2-3 years prior Billing experience required.
  • Billing experience within a media company preferred.
  • Knowledge of a variety of 3rd party ad servers (ATLAS, DFA, EyeWonder, PointRoll) preferred.
  • Detailed approach to reviewing and billing based on customer insertion orders preferred.
  • Very strong understanding of workflow process.
  • Strong customer service skills and collaboration with internal and external business partners.
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.

  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Must have an advanced level of Excel proficiency (Pivot tables, v-lookup, data analysis & formatting).
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Oracle EBS experience preferred.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
