Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will:
  • Conduct pre/post experimental test inspections of data acquisition instrumentation systems and prototype avionics/electrical systems, ensuring the integrity of these systems during flight and ground tests.
  • Perform maintenance on experimental aircraft electrical and electronic systems.
  • Assist with initial and secondary calibrations on experimental flight test aircraft.
  • Set up and operate test equipment necessary for aircraft systems and instrumentation engineering support.
  • Support the fabrication and troubleshooting of prototype avionics and electrical systems.
  • Conduct engineering tests of prototype avionics and electrical components at various locations.
  • Assist with aircraft ballast changes and the installation of instrumentation, strain gauges, and accelerometers.
  • Participate in aircraft towing, weighing, and related activities.
  • Access and reinstall aircraft components that may obstruct assigned tasks.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives as directed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to meet departmental and company standards.

Qualifications for Success

To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the aerospace industry or equivalent experience with data acquisition instrumentation or avionics/electronic/electrical systems.
  • Completed coursework or training in basic avionics electronics.
  • The ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Proficiency in operating computer programs related to aircraft operations.
  • Skills in setting up and operating testing equipment.
  • Experience in performing pre/post-test inspections and maintenance on experimental aircraft.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and test experimental avionics and electrical systems without standardized documentation.
