Role Summary and QualificationsWe are looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to take on the role of Operating Room Service Line Coordinator. In this position, you will play a key role in leading our team to ensure the efficient operation of Surgical Services. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leveraging your clinical and leadership expertise to educate, consult, and guide the service line in achieving optimal service quality and patient satisfaction.
- Ensuring the effective use of resources, adherence to care standards, and compliance with operational procedures.
- Coordinating service line workflows to enhance operational efficiency, boost productivity, and minimize costs.
- Collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to assess patient needs, understand physician preferences, and manage the availability of supplies and equipment.
- Identifying training needs and overseeing the development and execution of educational initiatives.
- Streamlining service line workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN is required; BSN is preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- CNOR National Board Certification is recommended/preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in surgical services is required.
- Familiarity with scrub and circulating responsibilities, surgical scheduling, and the ability to manage OR duties and on-call responsibilities. Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and effective communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in hospital systems and Microsoft Office.
