Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Patient Centered Services. As a PMHNP, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health care to individuals across various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including obtaining medical and psychiatric histories.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and create individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage pharmacologic treatments, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic efficacy.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed, managing acute psychiatric episodes.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington, DC.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric/mental health settings.
- Experience working in community health, home health, or outpatient mental health settings.
- Experience providing telehealth psychiatric services.
- Multilingual abilities (especially English/Spanish).
